Run your own brick treasure hunt
The 2021 hunt used a simple structure that works just as well at a birthday party or on a rainy afternoon: a missing model, a starting point, a few clues and a secret word.
The plan

| 3. Clues | Write three to five clues, each leading to the next spot. Each spot hides one word of a secret phrase. |
| 4. The reveal | The finished phrase names the hiding place of the model. |
| 5. The reward | Let everyone build something small from spare bricks at the end, as the city hunts did. |
Timing and age tips
- Keep it short: the official city hunt was designed to take no more than 45 minutes and the online one about 20.
- For younger children, use picture clues; for older ones, riddles or simple codes.
- Outdoors, keep all clue spots within sight or a short walk, as the 2021 hunt kept its clues within about a mile of each statue.
Choosing a model
A small vehicle set is ideal: it is quick to build, easy to hide and satisfying to find. Sets go on sale regularly, so it is worth comparing prices before buying one just for a party.
